Aseara, pe 29 August a avut loc la Arenele Romane festivalul Electrofish. La acest festival au participat Audio Bullys, Birdy Nam Nam, Gojira si Zicu si Ufe, trupe apartinand scenei de gen din strainatate dar si din romania.
Concertul a inceput la ora 21 cu Zicu si Ufe pentru a demara in tromba cu performanta celor de la Audio Bullys, Birdy Nam Nam care au facut ca atmosfera sa devina cu adevarat incendiara. Incendiara si totusi mult prea linistita pentru a necesita interventia in forta a trupelor de politie in jurul orei 12. Interventia fortelor de politie deplasate in numar excesiv de mare (au fost in jur de 12 masini de politie care au descins la fata locului)a culminat cu oprirea concertului si cu alungarea tuturor oamenilor care erau la fata locului.
Tocmai se terminase recitalul celor de la Birdy Nam Nam si trebuia sa intre pe scena Gojira, cand scena si stadionul au fost impanzite de politisti. La inceput am crezut ca aceia erau defapt "militieni" si ca faceau parte din figuratia concertului. Hilara si nastrusnica idee ceea ce pe moment mi-a produs un sentiment de admiratie pentru organizatorii concertului. Ce idee, si ce curaj. Sa imbraci 50 de oameni in "militieni" si sa-i pui sa defileze pe scena. Totul a pierit subit cand mi-am dat seama ca totul era pe bune si ca cei de pe scena erau politisti adevarati si ca intreg concertul era oprit, fara vreo explicatie. Cei de pe scena si cei de la sunet au fost obligati sa paraseasca zona si la fel toti cei ce erau acolo.
Repet, intreaga manifestare a avut un caracter extrem de linistit, s-a dansat, s-a aplaudat, s-a aclamat, s-a baut bere si energizante, cola si alte sucuri, atmosfera a fost destinsa, de concert. In nicio secunda nu a fost vorba de vreo incalcare a legii, in nicio secunda nu a fost vreun moment de violenta din partea publicului sau a organizatorilor. Chiar si in momentul in care politia ii scotea in forta pe oameni de pe stadion, cei de la organizare au fost calmi si nu au raspuns cu violenta. Parca pentru o secunda am revazut scenele din filmul The DOORS, cand politia urcase pe scena sa il scoata de acolo pe "infamul" Jim Morisson care isi striga cu nepasare lozincile anti-politie si anti-sistem, si pentru a intrerupe orgia din public. Dar nu, in aceasta seara nu a fost nimic asemanator, a fost liniste, lumea a fost calma si a venit sa se distreze.
Ce vreau sa subliniez este ca acest concert nu a fost unul deloc ieftin si totusi destul de multi oameni au decis sa vina la aceasta manifestare pentru a asculta muzica buna. Intrebarea este, si ma refer aici din punct de vedere al Protectiei Consumatorului: In momentul in care concertul a fost oprit inainte de terminarea lui, acest fapt nu aduce o lezare a dreptului consumatorului? In momentul in care ai platit un ban, ai platit un ban pentru a primi ceva in schimb si ai tot dreptul de a primi acel lucru pana la capat. In momentul in care politia a intrat abuziv pe stadion si a intrerupt concertul, ce se intampla cu cei care nu au primit ceea ce au platit? Sau trebuie sa luam lucrurile ca atare si sa acceptam ca in fiecare secunda sa ne fie furat dreptul, sa mergem la magazin si noi sa platim un kg si in loc de 1kg sa primim 800g, ca asa e normal. nu? Sa inteleg ca starea de fapt si normalitatea acestei tari inseamna defapt un furt? Ca romanul de rand trebuie sa se astepte la a fi furat in fiecare secunda? Sa ne obisnuim ca abuzul de orice fel e ceva bun, ca trebuie sa traim cu el? Ca orice entitate, fie ea politie, fie ea administratie poate sa ne abuzeze dupa bunul plac, fara ca noi sa nu avem nimic de spus? Si daca cumva avem curajul de a spune ceva impotriva acestui abuz, sa ne obisnuim sa ni se dea si mai tare peste obraz?
Personal am fost luat pe sus de catre doi agenti de politie, ca de ce le fac eu lor poze. Si tratamentul aplicat nu a fost unul deloc civilizat, unul dintre ei luandu-ma de antebrat si scuturandu-ma bine si injurandu-ma ca: "Ce ma`sa imi faci tu mie poze, drogatule si imputitule?" Ma indoiesc profund ca asta este un lucru pe care trebuie sa il accept, faptul ca am fost apoi luat pe sus si dus la o masina de politie unde am fost supus la un interogatoriu si unde toti ceilalti politisti au inceput sa ma injure ca uita-te la el cat e de drogat, cum isi da ochii peste cap si cum tremura. Trebuie sa mentionez ca stateam foarte bine pe ambele picioare si ca in seara respectiva am baut numai o bere. Discutia pe care am avut-o cu unul dintre sefii lor a fost una calma si i-am prezentat ce s-a intamplat. Am cerut sa primesc si eu un nume, dar nu am primit. In schimb am fost eu cel care a fost obligat sa se legitimeze. Nu am primit vreun raspuns cu privire la motivul pentru care eu fusesem luat pe sus si imi erau aduse injurii de la cei care ar trebui sa NE SERVEASCA SI SA NE PROTEJEZE!!!! Imi pare rau ca nu mi-a venit atunci in minte sa le cer sa ma duca la Institutul de Medicina Legala si sa imi faca un test de toxicologie, sa vada exact nivelul de substante halucinogene pe care il aveam in sange, 0. Pentru asta au facut ei razie, se asteptau sa gaseasca droguri? As vrea sa stiu, au gasit macar o singura persoana cu droguri sau sub influenta vreunei substante alta decat alcoolul? Nu cred ca in vreo secunda m-am comportat violent la adresa acelor politisti ci le-am cerut calm sa isi ia mainile de pe mine si sa nu ma mai traga incoace si incolo ca pot sa merg si singur si ca nu e nevoie sa ma ia pe sus. Dar m-a ascultat cineva, nu!

Intrebarile care apar la acest moment, inafara de cea cu privire la motivul descinderii in masa a fortelor de politie, sunt legate de persoana sau persoanele care vor fi gasite ca responsabile pentru intreruperea concertului, ce se va intampla cu cei care au platit un bilet si au fost alungati acasa in mijlocul concertului, cine si de ce a avut un interes in a opri acest eveniment si nu in urma, ce se intampla cu libertatea personala daca in orice moment un politist cu doua clase isi poate permite sa brutalizeze orice persoana, dar si mai mult un reprezentant al presei. Unde este libertatea de opinie? Din cate stiam acest drept este aparat de Constitutia Romaniei. Cum ne putem apara ca persoane impotriva acestor abuzuri? Sa inteleg ca de acum va trebui sa iesim pe strada numai in grupuri de 3 persoane, caci asa suna unul dintre raspunsurile aruncate cu dispret de catre reprezentantii politiei, in timp ce organizatorii incercau sa afle motivul pentru care aceasta manifestare a fost stopata: "`pen ca asa spune art 125 cu privire la infiintarea de grupuri sau de adunari fara autorizatia oficialitatilor..."Chiar sunt curios daca exista un asemenea articol.
Am trimis acest email catre majoritatea agentiilor de presa si companiilor media in incercarea de a trage un semnal de alarma cu privire la acest abuz, la atacurile din ce in ce mai dese la adresa liberei opinii dar si la libertatea personala a individului. Daca dumneavoastra nu puteti face nimic in aceasta directie, macar trimiteti acest articol catre persoanele care pot aduce ceva lumina in acest caz.

Last night, on the 29th of August, we had the pleasure to go to the Electrofish festival at the Arenele Romane, Bucharest. The stars of the show were Audio Bullys, Birdy Nam Nam, Gojira, Zicu si Ufe. Everything started around 9 o`clock with Ufe and Zicu. The real show erupted with the live performances from the guys from the Audio Bullys and Birdy Nam. The atmosphere was sometimes explosive but not in such a way that would explain the forceful intervention from the police forces around 12 0`clock. The police forces deployed there were excessive in number, at the spot being deployed around 12 cars. Everything culminated with the concert being abusively stopped and the public being sent home, even if the concert didn`t finish.
Birdy Nam Nam just ended their concert and Gojira was about to start his, when the scene and the auditorium were invaded by the Police Forces. The first thought was: “Wow, how cool, these guys must be part of the organization of the show, they are just Militia dress-alike!! How clever, and in the way how funny, how courageous, to dress around 5o people in Militia dresses and to make them go round around the place!!” But the dream has ended when I realized that they were serious and that they were going to stop the concert and send everybody home. I repeat, the entire manifestation was extremely calm, there was dancing, applauses, the people were singing along with the band, they were drinking local beer and energizers, soda, everything was relaxed. There was not a single moment whatsoever of violence from the public and from the organizers of the show. Even when the police abusively stopped the concert and told the people to go home, there was not a single gesture of violence from the organizers and the people there. I could recall then some scenes that I saw a long time ago, in THE DOORS movie, by Orson Wells, when the same thing happened, the Police invaded the auditorium and the scene to arrest the “infamous” Jim Morrison, that just wouldn`t stop cursing the police and the system, and he couldn`t care less. But not, on the 29th of August there was nothing of that kind.
What I want to underline by writing this is the fact that this concert was nothing but cheap but still a lot of people decided to pay the ticket and come to the concert, to listen to good music. The question is, and I am talking here from the point of view of the Consumer and the Protection of his rights: Taking into consideration that the concert was abruptly stopped by the police, before its time to end, isn`t this fact a neglect ion and an abuse against the Consumers` Rights? When you know that you paid goob money, money that you have earned sometimes through hard work, isn`t it normal that you should expect to get exactly what you paid for? So given the fact that the police has abruptly stopped the concert well before it had to end, what will it happen with those who didn`t receive what they have paid for? Should we be taling the things for granted, as they are and say, well that`s life? Should we get accustomed to paying for a kilogram of sugar and instead be givem 800g? Shoul i understand that the current status of this country and that the reality of the facts is that of a theft? That the Romanian people should get accustomed with being abused and stolen, that in fact this is a good thing? Should I understand that any sort of entity , being it police or whatever, can take advantage of the normal guy and abuse him at their own discretion, without even giving us the right to fight back? This is not freedom. Personally I was abused by two police agents, because I was taking pictures of the event. The treatment wasn`t nice at all and not civilized also. One of the police agents took me by my arm and started shaking me and pushing my like I was a puppet and he started cursing at me saying :”You fuckin` drog addict, you mother fucker, why are you taking pictures of me?! “ I doubt profoundly that this is the way that the police should behave, and also, that this is a thing that I should get accustomed with. After this thay took me to one of their cars and started questioning me while all the other cops were cursing me and shouting things like: “Look at him, fucking drug addict, he can barely stay on his two feet, look at him, I saw him trembling…!!” I have to mention that in that night I only drank a single beer and that I was standing pretty well on my two feet, given the fact that I had a 3000 euro camera with me and all sort of other photographic equipment. The discussion that I had with one of the higher officers was a calm one, but this still didn`t provide with the answer for the violent treatment that they applied on me. I was even asked to ID myself. I deeply regret that it didn` t cross my mind there to tell them totale me to the Legal Medical Institute and test my blood composition. That is what they expected to find there, drugs? I have to say that for not a single second I was violent or rude in any way with the police guys, asking them calmly to take their hands off of me given the fact that I was completely capable of walking and of taking care of myself.
But did anyone listen to me? No!
The main questions that come as a result of this event, besides the one that is clear to all of us, what is the reason for all this abuse… These questions are evolving around the people that would be found and whether somebody will be found responsible for this abuse. What is going to happen with the right to free expression and also with the freedom of speech? As far as I know the Romanian Constitution is currently granting all this rights. Then why, these that are supposed to SERVE AND PROTECT us, are doing exactly the opposite?
This email has been sent to the main press agencies in the country and also to some external agencies. I am very curios if any of this agencies will take this email seriously. If you cannot do anything about this, at least send it to somebody that has the power to something about this!
